Who?
The 555 Story Challenge is for creative nonfiction writers (as well as memoir-curious poets and fiction writers!) who want to start and finish a handful of new stories in just 5 days – even if they’re feeling too busy, stuck, or uninspired to write.
Join us if you are:
- stuck in a rut and could use some inspiration to write some new stories
- busy and struggling to make time for your writing these days
- feeling like you’re falling behind on your writing goals and would love the satisfaction of completing some new projects
- struggling to make progress without the accountability of deadlines or the support of a group
- demoralized by how long it’s taking to get through a draft these days, let alone finish a story you are excited to share!
What?
The 555 Story Challenge will ignite your creativity and inspire you to write 5 stories on 5 themes in 5 days!
This challenge is perfect for busy writers who struggle to find time for creative work and thrive with the accountability of deadlines.
- Each day you’ll receive a brief mini-lesson on the day’s project via email.
- You’ll write one 100-word story to be submitted by 10am PT the following day.
- The best part? You’ll craft brilliant new stories alongside a supportive community of writers – and I’ll be cheering you on every step of the way!
By participating in the 555 Story Challenge, you’ll qualify for a daily prize!
And at the end of the week a special prize will be awarded to a writer who submitted a 100 word story for every day of the challenge!

When you sign up for The 555 Story Challenge, you’ll receive all the info you need to participate along with an invitation to join our private community group.
When?
The 555 Story Challenge will take place Monday, November 13 through Friday, November 17, 2023.
The final prize will be announced on Saturday, November 18 in our private community group.
Why?
I’m hosting this challenge as part of my mission to help as many writers as I can craft stories they’re excited to share with the world!
