The 555 Story Challenge is for creative writers who want to start and finish a handful of new stories in 5 days – even if they’re feeling too busy, stuck or uninspired to write.
Although we’re going to be writing creative nonfiction or short-form memoir – because that’s my passion as a writer and teacher! – fiction writers and poets are encouraged to join us!
I’m going to kick off each day with a mini-lesson that will offer valuable info on form and craft for writers in ANY genre.
What is the 555 Story Challenge all about?
Friends, we are going to write 5 stories in 5 days on 5 themes…
If you struggle to find time to write and work best with deadlines this challenge is perfect for you.
Each day you’ll be given an assignment to write one 100 word story to submit to our private community by midnight. If you’d like to qualify for a daily giveaway or the final prize you’ll also submit your 100 word story to my admin team via a google form.
The best part of the challenge? You’ll be writing alongside a supportive community of fellow writers – and we’ll be cheering you on every step of the way!
I’ll go live each day with a mini-lesson on the day’s project. If you can’t tune in live, I’ve got you! I’ll share a replay video with your project notes in our community hub each day of the challenge.
Where will the 555 Story Challenge take place?
The 555 Story Challenge will take place in a private online community. When you sign up for the challenge, you’ll receive all the details along with your invitation to join us!
When will the 555 Story Challenge happen?
The 555 Story Challenge will take place Monday, November 13 through Friday, November 17, 2023 and the final giveaway prize will be announced on Saturday, November 18.
